Give the Historic Area the best morning of the trip. The streets, trades, houses, taverns, and museums feel better when they are not squeezed between rides and checkout.

Jamestown

Use Jamestown for the beginning of the English settlement story, then let Williamsburg handle dinner and the overnight reset.

Yorktown

Yorktown gives the weekend a Revolutionary War finish and a riverfront change of pace after the colonial capital.

Colonial Parkway
